Sea Kayaking and what nots...
so from last time i have been on yet another sea kayaking trip, but this time it was in my home town down the harbour to Qaurantine Island. :) we ventured off on wednesday in high winds, but luckily had a tail wind so we rafted together and got out a fly and sailed down!!!n it took under half the time it wouldve taken to paddle so we ended up there before dark just as the sun came back out and the wind disappeared! so it made for a lovely evening :) we stayed in the lodge which was very homely and had a night of playing cards, massages and mafia... next day was a sleep in then up to round up some sheep for sheering, this in itself was quite funny :) we went exploring round the island and did a beach clean up and then finally after lunch we did some tree planting which didnt take long and was fun!!! Kirsten jumped int eh wheelbarrow and james pushed it but whilst goin down hill after running over some jumps, james couldnt hod on and kirsten got tipped out hahah was a crak up! photso soon of that :) we spent that afternoon chilling in the sun, juggfling soccer ball and devil sticks and also attempting at fishing but just ended up chilling on teh jetty, watching tim and spanko and mel be nutters int he kayaks :) the next day we left the island and in 40knot winds.... not scary at all nooooo we paddeld to the safety of shore and got picked up yay! gotta go now that wasnt a very excting post but oh well ciao!! xox

a month on from last time....
so what have i been up too...... well...... ive been on two alpine tramps one in 30cm deep snow the whole time!!! was so much fun except for wearing these silly mountaineering boots which gave me my ankles and feet rather nice bruises and swolleness! and then the week straight after that was a five day alpi9ne tramp in Glenorchy, up from Queenstown. we went over the sugarloaf pass which was cool as covered in snow and we did some self arrests with the ice axes so we got to slide down very big hills. lots! was fun! then the week after that we went away on three day/ two day sea kayak from Cromwell to Clyde. was very cool had a really nice sunrise and teh colours on the snowy hills was very nice to look at. we stayed a night at one of the old miners cottage and got to go exploring on the rocky hills :) found some climbs that you could only get to by boat!!! and on the last day we got out the tent flys and sailed down to our destinatinon! was so much fun beacuse ive always wanted to sail that part of the pass, but next time i will be in my sail boat haha
last week was just lectures and being sick.... finally got over it. throwing up ont eh paper run is not ideal!
and now this week is another three day sea kayak trip to Quarantine island with some proposed tree planting for the rugby world cup ness shall be grand.
oh and last saturday we spent the night sitting on the flats roof, looking at the rugby stadium and listening to the England vs Argentina game on the radio and surprisingly this was satisfying enough :)
so i shall go and continue on with this non exciting life.... until then ciao!

been a while since last time as usual but the last two weeks i ahve been alpine tramping and up in the snow and going over ther sugarloaf pass in glenorchy was prteyy darn awesome. got a sea kayaking trip this week so will be super busy nce again.

i am still waitng on things to happen and really have no idea how or when they will. this morning whilst in my dreamy state of doing the papers at 5.45am i decided that i should only decide on something when i know everything. but in this case its kind of impossible to do that so i should just get on with things instead of dwelling and wondering and waiting/ ah life...

Jake made mac and cheese for tea (tis good!), and after that we started our shifts. we saw the sun go down, beautiful clear night sky and then the sun come up 6am. my shift was 3am-6am so i had a wee dance and giggle whilst steering with my music in and also keeping an eye our for whales!

But it kinda sux cos there was a frost here and so teh water will be FREEZING!!!!!
But anyway, once again I was supposed to write this aaages ago but have been so busy (doing nothng much), so here it is, I have been on a tramp with my friends from poly for our self tramp. We went and did part of the Kepler Track in Milford sound, I loved it! The trees and forest were so green and enchanted looking, filled with glow worms at night and birds and the river and moss that looked like snow and a million bridges and amazing waterfalls and giant trees that were hollow. so plenty of photo opportunities! :) but there was a waterfall at the end of one of the tracks and we decided it was a good idea to go swimming in it. as soon as you touched the water you were frozen and could no longer feel that part of your body.... Spanko said it was like someone was hitting you with a bag of frozen peas.... but there was also this huge amount of foam built up from the water fall and I decided again it was a good idea to make stupid hairdos with it. Not realising until after that I/we would now have to dunk right under in this hypothermic water.... was very fun tho!
Also we have had three weeks off for Polytech to do Self Directed Learning...... its pretty much time where we are super lazy but try hard to kayak and climb or do somthing productive each day. It started off good with some kayaking and climbing and then the second week was pretty slow, but then I had a week of work experience at Bivouac (outdoor shop), I loved it!!! got to label everything!! haha was fun adn teh people there were cool too :) fun to work with haha
So now we are back to a normal ish routine but we have exams starting next week... but should be alguds hopefully.
OH!!!!!! the best thing happend also in these last two weeks. Jake my sailing friend and his Dad invited me to join them on a boat to sail from the Whitsunday Islands to Cairns in Australia!!!! and I was getting so damn exxcited!!! So we booked flights and made arrangements and now I'm going with them. and i Cant wait!!! It'll be so awesome just being on a boat for two weeks and being somewhere warm and amazing and with awesome people. Only five weeks till we go!
So I shall stop blabbing now and hopefully update you soon on the boringness of my life :)
Peace out till next time! xx

Been away tramping all week and am now so tired!! Went to the Takitimu Ranges in Fiordland near Milford Sound, NZ. was very nice there we were mostly off track so got to see the greeness of teh trees and moss a lot more!! Had a lot of fun and laughed a lot at my friends expense, with her falling over all the time and being "beached as" on her pack, falling thigh deep into mud and just general stupidness. We found that when you are tired and hungry at teh end of the day as soon as someone makes a pathetic giggle at nothing, you then go into hysterical laughter over absolutely nothing!! But that is whats good, when you can just laugh for the hell of it. everyone kept saying how can you be so happy without being high, and I dont know there doesnt have to be a reason to be happy, cant a person just be happy just for the sake of being happy. So I've decided im a happy person and also very good at hiding behind my smile :) gtg rock climbing today!! peace out nomies xx

Goodbyes are not forever
so to as my title, its because there are so many amazing people in my life that i meet and greet or meet and get to know really well but before long they have to go back to where they came from, or leave the place taht they love. just the other day i watched teh person Im missing the most right now drive away. Im not good with goodbyes because when someone that i really care about or think is absolutely amazing leaves, it takes a part of me with them, so im full of missing pieces right now but thats only because these people have made big impressions on me, some more than others.
It may have been one of the sweetest but toughest goodbyes. Having that special person hug me and wipe my tears from my face was heartwarming. that last kiss goodbye, the last hug goodbye, the last wave. The last look as he drove down that road, was hard but i know that it wont be the last goodbye, because we will see eachother one day again, definitely. So hence my title "goodbyes are not forever", that is the truth if you want it to be, its more of a cya later :) and in life all the small things, all the little things at the time dont seem significant, but in the end you realise all the little things made up the big things. Enjoy the little things in life , because on day you will look back and realise they were the big things.
So i want to thank you Seb for being you.

from the begginning
so ive just been searching through heaps of peoples pages and so many are different yet the same, i should of started this at the start of the year just cos so many things have happened and now is an odd time for me to start spilling, so ill recap now ...
at the start of the year (summer) i was fruitpicking at the orchard and this year there were a bunch of new ppl as well as some of the usuals, the people that travel are so amazing and im always jelous of them because they have seen so much more of the world than me, but i will get my turn JULY 2014!!!!!and i cant wait!!!!
there were the french Sebastien :) and Ben who travelled together, Sasa and Tanja from Slovakia, Emilie (Canada) and Moto (Japan), those two were teh coolest craziest people ive ever met and im glad i got to share my summer with all of them and hopefully i will see them again one day. atm Seb is in my hometown but he leaves soon which is sad, he is a beautiful person.
my buddys on the course and me climbing (being lazy and toproping) woot. So after the summer I started my Outdoor leadership and management course at Polytech, it involves a lot of white water kayaking, rock climbing (sport climbing), and tramping with sea kayaking in there too! everytime i climb or kayak i pretty much scare the crap outer myself, so as you can imagine i need to gain some good confidence and headspace, because i love doing it just gotta be happy about what im doing lol while kayaking in wanaka for the week i always sang to myself and Luke, one of the year twos caught me singing buffalo soldier and rocking my kayak side to side at the same time. I also talk a lot of crap when im nervous so everyone just laughed at me all week, but i didnt mind cos it happens all the time anyway haha atm im on holiday till the end of the week from my course so busy cof cof doing assignments cof cof.....
ive been trying to catch up with my friends because my course pretty much takes them away from me but i hung wiht my bestie Alex today and we played soccer so i was super happy!!! and i miss my sports especially soccer and sailing but thats ok ill get them sometime soon :) but until then peace out xoxo

life as we know it
so this is the first blog from me, i was firstly inspired by this girl who did something new everyday and blogged about it and i wanted to do the same, but to be honest i have no money to do something different everyday and i couldnt think of 365 new different things!!! My mind is simple ish. I had been looking for somewhere to blog because some of my friends had one from their travels around the world, so finally because of kaka my friend I now have this blog!!!
This isnt a very exciting first blog but i dont mind because i will fill it up with goodness soon :) so many stories and quotes to share with everyone. so hopefully whoever feels like reading this will enjoy the crazy, silly life i may lead, but im happy so i dont mind what you think! as such :) enjoy <3
