Sea Kayaking and what nots...
so from last time i have been on yet another sea kayaking trip, but this time it was in my home town down the harbour to Qaurantine Island. :) we ventured off on wednesday in high winds, but luckily had a tail wind so we rafted together and got out a fly and sailed down!!!n it took under half the time it wouldve taken to paddle so we ended up there before dark just as the sun came back out and the wind disappeared! so it made for a lovely evening :) we stayed in the lodge which was very homely and had a night of playing cards, massages and mafia... next day was a sleep in then up to round up some sheep for sheering, this in itself was quite funny :) we went exploring round the island and did a beach clean up and then finally after lunch we did some tree planting which didnt take long and was fun!!! Kirsten jumped int eh wheelbarrow and james pushed it but whilst goin down hill after running over some jumps, james couldnt hod on and kirsten got tipped out hahah was a crak up! photso soon of that :) we spent that afternoon chilling in the sun, juggfling soccer ball and devil sticks and also attempting at fishing but just ended up chilling on teh jetty, watching tim and spanko and mel be nutters int he kayaks :) the next day we left the island and in 40knot winds.... not scary at all nooooo we paddeld to the safety of shore and got picked up yay! gotta go now that wasnt a very excting post but oh well ciao!! xox

a month on from last time....
so what have i been up too...... well...... ive been on two alpine tramps one in 30cm deep snow the whole time!!! was so much fun except for wearing these silly mountaineering boots which gave me my ankles and feet rather nice bruises and swolleness! and then the week straight after that was a five day alpi9ne tramp in Glenorchy, up from Queenstown. we went over the sugarloaf pass which was cool as covered in snow and we did some self arrests with the ice axes so we got to slide down very big hills. lots! was fun! then the week after that we went away on three day/ two day sea kayak from Cromwell to Clyde. was very cool had a really nice sunrise and teh colours on the snowy hills was very nice to look at. we stayed a night at one of the old miners cottage and got to go exploring on the rocky hills :) found some climbs that you could only get to by boat!!! and on the last day we got out the tent flys and sailed down to our destinatinon! was so much fun beacuse ive always wanted to sail that part of the pass, but next time i will be in my sail boat haha
last week was just lectures and being sick.... finally got over it. throwing up ont eh paper run is not ideal!
and now this week is another three day sea kayak trip to Quarantine island with some proposed tree planting for the rugby world cup ness shall be grand.
oh and last saturday we spent the night sitting on the flats roof, looking at the rugby stadium and listening to the England vs Argentina game on the radio and surprisingly this was satisfying enough :)
so i shall go and continue on with this non exciting life.... until then ciao!
